The first tales are being written, designed and explored as animated films.

There is no finished collection waiting to be unveiled. The stories will arrive here as they are completed, one at a time.

Until then, you can follow their progress through STORIES and MAKING — from the first ideas and images to the experiments that begin bringing Lankytown to life.

And when a tale is ready to be told, this is where you will find it.

The Ancient Woman isn’t quite ready to begin.

But the light is already on.

Every finished story will have a place here.

Choose a tale and join the children in the lighthouse as the Ancient Woman reaches back into Lankytown’s past.

Some stories may be funny.

Some strange.

Some unsettling.

And some may leave you wondering how much of what you have just heard actually happened.

The individual tales can be enjoyed on their own.

But there is another story unfolding between them.

An opening sequence brings the children to the lighthouse. Interludes return to them between the tales. Questions are asked. Relationships develop. Little by little, we learn more about the children, the Ancient Woman and the world beyond the lighthouse windows.

Eventually, a closing sequence brings their visit to an end.

When enough of Lore has been completed, you will be able to experience the stories and their interludes together, in the order they were intended to be seen.

The chairs are waiting.

The kettle is on.

Outside, Lankytown is disappearing into darkness.

Inside the lighthouse, an Ancient Woman has more than a century of stories to remember.

Soon, the children will arrive.

And then she can begin.
